. . . ============================================== Sidhe 1994 ============================================== . The overhanging branches Made the path a tunnel I stumbled up the muddy trail Through sunlight dapples Coven meet ahead . At crossroads where no man Had turned a stone since Stones turned of themselves I left the path of chalky mud Struck further up the hill . In ruined tower, roofless chamber Rested now on leafy floor The trees looked in on me, waiting Dropping timely rocking leaves I caught my breath . And suddenly the wind got up And blew the debris all around I stood and trembled at the maelstrom Leaves uncovered naked flesh below The damp and dirty leaves . And then he came to me, slowly Eyes as blue as mid-day sky Hair a tangle, twigs and dry leaves I stared and fell into his eyes He led me to the portal . I passed through cascade, falling wonder Into the land where magick reigns He turned to me, his eyes inviting But, for thought of Kaitlin, I'd have gone Into that strange sidhe . I turned from him, in mystic wonder Fell backwards to a pile of leaves The clouds were scudding by the tower The hours had passed, the night approached I ran to the arms of my love . ============================================== (c) 1994 James McGowan - all rights reserved ============================================== .
